Academic Connections
The SEMI-THERM Educational Foundation is committed to the connection between academia and industry in the field of electronics thermal management.
Academic Connections brings together universities involved in electronics cooling, thermal engineering, electronics packaging, photonics, data-center thermal management, and related fields. Participating institutions are included in the Academic Connections directory, which highlights their research capabilities, facilities, and academic contacts.
The directory helps industry identify universities with relevant expertise and creates opportunities for collaboration between academic and industry professionals.
How does Academic Connections work?
There is no cost for institutions to participate.
Each institution designates a faculty member as its Academic Contact to maintain directory information and share SEMI-THERM opportunities with faculty and students.

Participating institutions may select one student each year to receive complimentary SEMI-THERM technical conference registration, sponsored by a professor who also plans to attend. Complimentary registration includes the technical conference and related activities. Travel and lodging are not included.
Interested in Joining?
Academic institutions with active teaching or research related to electronics thermal management are invited to apply.
Please provide information about your institution, research activities, facilities, and faculty contact.
Applications are reviewed by the SEMI-THERM Technical Committee. Once approved, the institution will be added to the Academic Connections directory and may designate one student annually for complimentary conference registration.
