Each year, SEMI-THERM honors a person as a Significant Contributor to the field of semiconductor thermal management. The THERMI award is intended to recognize a recipient's history of contributions to crucial thermal issues affecting the performance of semiconductor devices and systems. The voting body of past THERMI winners and the current year General Chair are pleased to present the 2011 THERMI to James S. Wilson, Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. Dr. Wilson is a recognized expert in the area of in the area of thermal simulation of microwave integrated circuits and advanced packaging for RF devices and has contributed directly to the advancement of thermal knowledge in these areas. Please join us in congratulating Jim for his long time excellent contributions to our science.
The Harvey Rosten Award For Excellence has been established by the family and friendsof Harvey Rosten and is supported by the Mentor Graphics Corporation. The Award commemorates Harvey’s achievements in the field of thermal analysis of electronics equipment, and the thermal modeling of electronics parts and packages. Its aims are to encourage innovation and excellence in these fields. We continue to honor his legacy and great achievements by presenting this prestigious award to Dirk Schweitzer, Infineon Technologies AG for his paper presented at the 26th SEMI-THERM Symposium, “The Junction-To-Case Thermal Resistance; a Boundary Condition Dependent Thermal Metric.”
